Lederzentrum Colourlock® certified methods & products for proven outcomes.

Stain & Dye-Transfer Correction
Blue-jean dye, ink, sunscreen and drink spills are treated with pH-balanced products that respect the leather’s finish. We perform controlled re-pigmentation in the affected zone, where colour has bitten into the topcoat, then reseal it for a clean, even result.

Rip, Crack & Hole Repair
Leather surfaces can crack or tear with prolonged use and insufficient maintenance. Whether its a gaping hole or a small nick on the surface - we can reinstate a seamless finish using fillers and backing fabrics while matching the colour and grain of the repair to the existing leather with precision.

High-Wear Fading Revival
Driver bolsters, seat edges, steering wheels and grab points dull faster than the rest of the interior. We de-gloss, re-tone and reinforce these zones with Lederzentrum Colourlock systems, matching sheen and texture so the refreshed areas blend naturally and stand up to daily use.

UV Damage Recovery
Prolonged UV exposure dries and fades leather/vinyl—especially dashboards, door tops, and seat shoulders. We restore vibrancy with our water-based systems: deep clean, moisture replenishment, colour stabilisation, and a protective top-coat to reduce future UV damage and premature wear.
Certified technicians, OEM systems: Trained and certified by the same manufacturing process.
Factory-true colour & sheen: Spectro/visual match and feathered blends for seamless panels.
Mobile, transparent, professional: We come to all customers across Melbourne.
Melbourne Leather is backed by Lederzentrum’s Colourlock system, the world leaders in leather care. Our range of products and techniques have been developed through decades of material science and are backed by leading automotive and furniture manufacturers. Every job we do is backed by workshop testing, practical experience, and support when you need it.
Any leather or vinyl surface, from car seats and steering wheels to couches and boat benches. If it’s leather and it matters to you we can restore it.
We can match our dyes to both the factory colour or current shade of your leather, allowing for a seamless match. For small touch-ups, factory formulas blend well into newer leather types after proper prep and thin coats. For a perfect match on noticeably aged areas, we can custom match our dyes to the existing shade or recolour the full panel altogether.
Yes we can — from small nicks through to full tears and structural damage. Very small nicks can sometimes be stabilised with a small amount of filler. In more severe cases we administer backing fabric & adhesive before applying a filler and matching the grain to the existing leather.
No, our products are formulated to preserve the original feel of your leather. Water-based dyes and pH neutral cleaners maintain flexibility and comfort. Any slight change in texture after recolouring will settle within a few days as the finish cures and the leather is conditioned.
Although you can achieve remarkable results with high-quality DIY kits, some jobs are better handled by a professional, particularly more complex repairs involving patching holes and matching grains. With Melbourne Leather, your repair is backed by years of industry knowledge and hands-on experience. We produce seamless results while allowing you to go on with your day without the stresses of a restoration project.
Completion time can vary depending on the scope of the work, but the majority of repairs won’t take us more than a day. We are able to provide a more informed time estimate upon quoting the job. If well looked after, repairs will last as long as the leather. Our technicians can provide you with maintenance advice to ensure you keep your leather looking pristine.
This can vary significantly depending on the scope of the work and what you desire as a customer — function, aesthetic or both. We provide customers with various options based on budget limitations and aesthetic requirements. Finishes with perfectly matched grain and colour are more expensive as they require greater labour and effort. Although we aim to provide a rough pricing estimate through photos, a more precise quote can be generated after a physical assessment.
We do offer full recolourations depending on the choice of colour and the scope of the work. In some cases, we may advise you not to proceed with a recolouration due to the costs of the dye and labour required. Contact us and talk to one of our technicians to consult on a full leather recolouration.
Yes we can. It’s easier to bring the leather into our workshop so we can establish the source and cause of the odour, whether it be mould, smoke residue or something else. Our microbial cleaners and conditioners are formulated to address bacterial and smell-related issues.
No it won’t. Our dyes are designed to penetrate deep into the leather fibres and sealed off with a layer of top coat that protects both the leather and your clothes from stains or dye-transfer.
